Cherian Koshy, a nonprofit and fundraising expert, is the Director of Development for the Des Moines Performing Arts.

Proper gratitude to donors and supporters should be a bedrock of your fundraising efforts. At the end of the day, donors remember the thank you your organization sends them more than the appeal itself. Having a proper gratitude attitude will help boost retention rates and cause higher lifetime giving.

Nick Savarese- Planning A Virtual Event
Nick is the Executive Director of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
In 2020, due to Corona, the foundation turned their annual in-person gala into a 100% virtual event, including an auction. Nick and his team planned and managed the event and Nick hosted. The event was extremely successful and raised more than previous in-person events.
Nick joined us to discuss how to move an in-person event to virtual, what worked and what didn’t, lessons learned and more. Nick was extremely forthcoming about his experience and helped attendees understand how they can plan a successful virtual event.
