In today’s SEND I’m going to share with you a great fundraising email. They get it right:
- A word in the subject line that will lead to more opens
- Excellent hero image to capture attention
- Personalization
- Short, clear content
- Effective CTA
- Good online donation form image and text
They did a good job with their message and encouraging people to click their CTA button and donate.
Just one thing was problematic and it’s one of the top no-no’s for nonprofit emails:
The email address they used.
Email is supposed to be a conversation between someone at your organization and the individual subscriber. The second you use the email address that was used in this SEND episode, you’re shutting down conversation. You’re telling people you don’t want to hear from them.
Will that help you raise more money? Absolutely not!
Please watch the entire episode to learn from the really good and what you must avoid using as an email address.
